Welcome to the Laboratory Computing Resource Center.

The LCRC operated Jazz, a 350-node computing cluster, for the Argonne National Laboratory community, from late 2002 through the end of 2009. All Argonne personnel had access to this computer. Jazz was retired on Dec 14, 2009 after being replaced by Fusion.

Experienced users should jump directly to the "Using Jazz" pages.

Please see the LCRC 2007 Annual Report for a summary description of the LCRC activities and highlights of research done on Jazz in the past year.

The LCRC's mission is to promote the widespread use of high-performance computing across Argonne National Laboratory in support of scientific computing. For more information on the LCRC, see the "About the LCRC" pages.
