LCRC Users,

We will be performing our monthly maintenance in LCRC on Monday, June 10, 2024. Only Improv and Bebop are expected to be unavailable during this time. We will send another email after the maintenance ends. Any jobs submitted with a walltime that crosses into the maintenance schedule will not begin until the maintenance reservation is lifted.

A reminder that we are planning on moving Bebop onto a new operating system. This is currently planned for Monday, July 1, 2024. More details will follow closer to that time. As this is a major change, we will be rebuilding some of the 3rd party software. We do not intend to rebuild everything that is currently available on Bebop and the current software stack will be removed.  If you have a strong need for a package that is currently installed, please let us know by submitting a ticket if you have not already. This upgrade will also include the change from Slurm to PBS.

There will be a 1-hour presentation called Getting Started on LCRC’s Improv Cluster on June 12 at 2:00 pm. This may be useful to learn about PBS if you have not already switched to using Improv.
